Park Rental Guide

Personal grills are not allowed in the park. Each picnic area and pavilion has a charcoal grill that you may use
during your reservation.

  • Amplified sound or live music is only allowed at the Dance Slab and Pavilion #16 with an approved permit.
  • Bouncy castles/moon bounces are allowed at Pavilions 5, 6, 7, 15, 16, and the Dance Slab with an approved
    permit only. All permit guidelines must be followed.
  • Water sources are not available for use in the park. Sprinklers, kiddie pools, water games, and water balloons
    are not allowed.
  • Use of confetti, glitter, rice, birdseed, paper lanterns, or candles is not allowed.
  • Balloon releases are not permitted.
  • Stand alone canopies are allowed as long as it is not staked into the ground. Weights/sandbags may be used.
  • All parking in Landa Park is available on a first come, first served basis. Parking in any grass area is prohibited.
  • Decorations are not allowed in the trees and may not be staked into the ground.
  • Pinata poles are available on a first come-first served basis. Please clean up all trash.
  • Use of an area for walks/races/5ks requires an approved Special Use Permit.
  • Feeding of wildlife is prohibited. Ordinance 2018-58
  • Personal grills are prohibited.
  • Park hours: 6 a.m. – 12 midnight (Cypress Bend Park hours are 8 a.m. until dusk)
  • Glass containers are prohibited.
  • Alcohol allowed in Landa Park, Fischer Park and Camp Comal only. Consumption of alcoholic
    beverages is not allowed in parking lots or within 25 feet of park roadways.
  • Tents, hammocks and overnight camping is prohibited in any City park.
  • All pets must be restrained and on a leash at all times, leash may not exceed six feet.
  • Pets are not allowed in any Landa Park waterway or Fischer Park Ponds.
  • All habitat and wildlife are protected. Feeding of wildlife is prohibited. City Ordinance 2018-58
  • Picnicking, wading and swimming only allowed in designated areas.
  • Volleyball, horseshoes and piƱatas allowed in designated areas only.
  • No person may use an area or facility for any purpose other than its designated use.
  • Park Rangers will collect a $25 picnic fee for non-reservable areas in season (Easter weekend through October
    31st) For residents, first space is free.
  • Only free standing canopies are allowed.
  • Live music, excessive noise and disturbing conduct are prohibited.
  • Panther Canyon trail for pedestrian use only.
  • Due to environmental impact and user conflicts, some sports and activities may be prohibited.
  • Amusement devices allowed in designated areas only and require a special use permit.
  • Barricades are in place from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays from Easter through Labor Day in
    Landa Park on Playground Drive and Hinman Island Drive.
  • Metal detectors are not allowed in City parks.
  • Use of tobacco products is prohibited on or within 50 feet of any outdoor city-owned youth athletic fields,
    skate park, playgrounds or playground equipment.
